First was the awesome aroma my partner commented on from across the room, and then when I saw the gorgeous oily sheen on the beans, I knew the game was afoot. The taste was even better than the look and smell, a beautiful strong and sharp flavour without the slightest bit of astringency or bitterness. I didn't think it would be possible to pack in so much flavour without making the taste becoming overpowering or bitter, but there you have it, great job Airjo.
If you haven't tried a good strong dark roast, or been put off by dodgy ones that are harsh, I'd absolutely recommend giving the Timor a try. To put it in context, even my friends and family members who generally prefer a lighter roast had no complaints when I made them a coffee with these beans.
I've tried quite a few of the single origin and blends from Airjo now, and each has its own distinct (and consistent) character. This one is a standout for me.
I also can't say enough nice things about the service from Airjo as well, smooth ordering and lightning fast shipping, and on the rare occasion there was an issue with an order it was sorted out immediately, to my total satisfaction and without hassle or drama. Keep up the great work folks! :)
