This is our favourite coffee of many we have tried. Good price, too.
I tried a number of different grind settings and preparation methods and I could not get any sweetness from this blend. Started with Timemore Nano+ grinder and Bialetti Brikka moka pot, then tried Aeropress and Clever dripper with different grinds. I even bought a new grinder (1zpresso Xpro) and again tried different brew methods. Water straight off the boil, or left to cool didn't seem to make much difference.
Description matches the taste :) we have tried quiet a few and now settled on this. Haven’t bought coffee from another shop for a while.
Wouldn't buy again
Initially the coffee was very sour with my regular recipe. I had to work hard to get full extraction. I found once I brewed with boiling water and a tighter grind, the coffee was nice in a v60. It was like this batch was under developed in the roasting process.
Well balanced roast
Well balanced roast. Particularly smooth when made in a moka pot, also really nice as espresso. Personally I like it either as a macchiato or a piccolo
